ABOUT US
The 5th Mechanical Engineering Research Day (MERD'18) is a one-day international poster seminar organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) in association with the Centre for Advanced Research on Energy (CARe), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). MERD'18 will be taking place on 03 May 2018, at Kampus Teknologi UTeM, Melaka.
The objective is for the scientists, scholars, researchers, engineers and students from Higher Educational Institutions, Research Institutions and Industries in the world to present findings of ongoing/completed original research activities, and hence foster research collaborations between the universities and the industries. The other objective is to introduce young researchers in the scientific field of mechanical engineering through poster presentations and publications, to offer mentoring through senior researchers/scientists, and to foster the building of networks through the informal style of the event.
All accepted 2-pages extended abstracts will be published in the proceeding with e-ISBN, which will be indexed in Google Scholar. In addition, the proceedings will also be submitted to Clarivate Analytic (formerly known as Thomson Reuters-ISI) Conference Proceedings Citation Index™ for indexing consideration in Web of Science® coverage.
As a reference, all previous MERD Proceedings have been indexed in Clarivate Analytics (formerly known as Thomson Reuters-ISI) Conference Proceedings Citation Index™ of Web of Science® Coverage [CLICK HERE]
The authors with accepted extended abstracts are encouraged to submit their optional full-length paper for possible publication in our supporting journal indexed in WoS-ISI/Scopus at no additional charges. Papers submitted will go through the normal peer review and appear in a special issue as they are accepted and ready for publication.
